Parking
You can park(for free) at our premises at Dwarsgracht 21. On our own grounds we have a total of 12(free) parking spaces available. There are also 80 (free) parking spaces available 200 meters away.

Origin of the Weerribben
Swamp forests, water, birds and vast reed beds: nature in the Weerribben looks pure and unspoiled. Yet nothing here is truly accidental, as every inch of the landscape has been shaped by human hands. Peat cutting turned the area into a wet marsh with special nature.
Discovering the Weerribben-Wieden by boat
In National Park Weerribben-Wieden you can enjoy beautiful hiking and biking trails, but the best way to explore the area is by boat or canoe. As you paddle among the cane walls or cruise around in a whisper boat, you will get deeper into the green heart of nature. Only the sound of your own paddles and the songs of reed warblers and warblers can then be heard. Mute swans and purple herons fly majestically through the air, and who knows, you might even see an otter up close, when a splash in the water betrayed what was going on below the surface. The Weerribben is an ideal nursery for the otter, a clever and playful animal that you can spot with some luck.
The green maze
National Park the Weerribben-wieden is like a big green maze, where you can wander endlessly. But getting lost is virtually impossible, as all the waterways can be found in the Giethoorn Village boating app. If you still think you are lost you can always give us a call.

The Weerribben is also easily accessible by boat from there. Starting in the spring of 2023, we will use the boating app Giethoorn village which contains 4 different boating routes that will let you see the Weerribben carefree from a boat.
No Boating License Required
You do not need a boating license to drive our sloops. Even for the most inexperienced boat drivers, our boats and our itineraries are appropriate. Taking a boat through the canals of Giethoorn is a unique experience for everyone!
